About the Artist

Born in Rochdale, England (1989), Alex Cairns is a percussive fingerstyle guitarist who enchants and captivates his audiences with his expressive playing on the acoustic guitar. With over 19 years playing experience, Alex has intricately crafted his technique and composing skills to create spellbinding music that takes you on journey of experiences through hopes & dreams, fears & woes and love & loss. 

Alex employs the use of alternative guitar tunings, two-handed tapping, percussive techniques alongside a vast array of musical genres and inspirations such as Michael Hedges, Andy McKee, Jon Gomm, Luca Stricagnoli, Mike Dawes, Alexandr misko and Becky Langan.
